I would contact companies in the area (take a peek at their websites) or look in the paper to see how many listings there are for medical billing positions. Or do a search online.
I’m originally from Murrieta, and there used to be a ton of jobs available. But I also know that the economy down there is really struggling.
Best of luck!

I have been a medical biller for over 10yrs. I hope the school that to went to trained you well. I have worked with interns for medical billing during their (forgot what its called) intership (the work hours they need for getting their certificate) and they did not know S**T! Unfortunatley most private practice drs only what to hire people with experince. They don’t have the time to train anybody because normally in a small pratice their is only one biller and their is nobody to turn too if you have a question. My best suggestion is for you to look at hospital, large clinics or some medical facility that has mulitple biller/collectors on staff. This way they have the man power to train somebody from scratch.
