having worked for a medical office doing records, and taking MT classes.. the advice given to me, was to go to local medical agencies & offices… there are a bunch of websites out there like “work home dot com” or something, but you have to pay to subscribe and i think its a lot of bull… most dr offices like someone they can see periodically though.. they get their tapes together, or if they’re all digital, will email them to you quicker if they’ve met you.

Unfortunately, due to many state privacy laws which protect the medical records of hospitals as well as private medical institutions, there is no longer off-site need for medical transcribers and any on-line transcription service wanting to hire transcribers to do such work over the Internet are pure scams. The only valid work assignments are at the actual medical or recordkeeping facility and again, their job offers as usually handled by outside employment agencies.
Good luck!
No one is likely to hire you without experience, regardless of how much schooling you have, or how great of a school it was.
You’re going to have to get a job in an office or hospital for awhile to get experience.
