Question by Kat365: Are there opportunities in Medical Billing? I’m not sure what area I want so I signed up for this Medical Billing class (not online but at a college). Is there even a need for this? I’ve been looking thru the classified section and I don’t see any openings.. I did see a medical records clerk position–could they also do billing as well?? Just asking… It’s so hard trying to figure out what to do..

I work full time as a medical transcriptionist and have been looking for online transcription jobs or other legitimate jobs that I can do part-time from at home. I have a diploma for transcription but only have about 2 months on the job experience but all online jobs require at least 2 years. Answer by badaspieThere’s no age limit, but there are fewer and fewer job openings available. More doctors are using computers and entering patient data themselves, so fewer transcriptionists are needed. I don’t recommend it as a long-term career choice.
